About Us
The Lifelong Learning Council of Red Deer is a Granting Council that supports foundational learning for adult learners in the City of Red Deer and has been funding vital programming for over 30 years.

Mission: LLCRD engages the community as champions of lifelong learning and supports the community to understand and meet the learning needs of all through collaboration, community conversations, and providing financial resources and support for taking innovative action.

The Lifelong Learning Council of Red Deer is funded by Alberta Advanced Education and supported by the Community Learning Network.
Alberta Ministry of Advanced Education provides funding to support the delivery of part-time, non-formal adult foundational learning opportunities in local communities. Currently, there are over 85 CALPS that are funded through the Alberta Ministry of Advanced Education that offer adult learning opportunities.

The Lifelong Learning Council of Red Deer is one of three Granting Councils that provide funding for Community Adult Learning Programs to foundational adult learning providers in our cities.

The Lifelong Learning Council of Red Deer will put out a request for applications once a year. Applications will be reviewed by our Grant Allocation Committee and approved by our Board of Directors.
